Rickenbackers Cafe and Bar, located at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas, is a key part of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program serving United States Air Force and Space Force personnel and their families. Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Must be a U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen with 3+ years of U.S. residency
Must complete a background investigation with favorable results
Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or training
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Must satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify)
Must accept direct deposit
Probationary period may be required
Pre-employment requirements must be met prior to Entrance on Duty
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized

Job Qualifications

Ability to follow simple written and oral instructions
Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and to operate simple machines
Skill in doing tasks with several steps and using judgement in sequencing tasks
Knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food and for cleaning simple equipment and work area
Open to everyone with preference categories including business based action, military spouse preference, veteran, spouse/widow/parent of veteran, and transition hiring preference
Relevant experience including volunteer work counts
Must meet eligibility requirements and provide proof by closing date

Job Duties

Prepare hot beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffees, lattes, espressos, hot chocolate by selecting proper ingredients and following recipes
Serve mixed beverages such as iced coffees, fruit drinks, smoothies by selecting proper ingredients and following recipes
Serve other cold beverages and food items such as soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries
Receive payment, operate cash register, and make and return change to patrons
Set up and clean tables for customers and replenish condiment items and stocks as necessary
Perform cleaning tasks
Assist with inventories and identify items for re-ordering
