Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or related field preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and bend
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Willingness to wear uniform and personal protective equipment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and safety practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Food service certificate as needed
  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Experience in kitchen cleaning and maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare daily reports verifying transactions
  • Understand meal inclusions
  • Ensure accurate and sanitary storage of food
  • Serve food according to meal schedules and policies
  • Use and care for kitchen equipment
  • Timely prepare a variety of food items and beverages
  • Add garnishments for visual appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of kitchen equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations
  • Follow uniform policy
  • Communicate daily with manager about menu preparation
  • Supervise food temperature requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and counters
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, and ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection and kitchen floor sanitation
  • Perform other assigned kitchen duties
  • Meet physical demands including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
