Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in food service or related field preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • Mandatory direct deposit of net pay
  • Successful completion of National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI)

Job Qualifications

  • Skill to perform tasks with several steps and use judgment in sequential tasks
  • Ability to concentrate and serve uniform individual portions
  • Simple arithmetic skills and ability to read instructions
  • Working knowledge of common sanitation procedures
  • Ability to follow specific oral or written instructions
  • Judgment to meet standards of sanitation, attractiveness, timeliness, safety, and service
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to stand and walk constantly
  • Ability to work in warm and noisy environments
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and report workplace hazards

Job Duties

  • Set up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food
  • Serve food cafeteria-style to diners
  • Serve tables family-style by placing dishes and refilling as necessary
  • Make coffee in large urns according to number of servings with timing and brewing responsibility
  • Make specialty coffee drinks using barista equipment
  • Prepare a variety of fruit and vegetable salads
  • Serve food in standard portions using small dishes or glasses
  • Make cold or hot sandwiches using simple heating elements
  • Pack box lunches
  • Maintain water and detergent levels in dishwasher and clean dishwasher inside and out
  • Ensure dining room cleanliness by wiping tables and sweeping floors
  • Unload food from delivery trucks and move heavy garbage cans
  • Operate cash register and manage own change fund
  • Keep merchandise refrigerator and freezers stocked
  • Provide world-class customer service with emphasis on courtesy
  • Assist customers and communicate positively in a friendly manner
  • Take action to solve problems quickly
  • Alert supervisors when problems arise
  • Adhere to safety regulations and report hazards and injuries
  • Follow established standards supporting EEO program and preventing sexual harassment
  • Perform other related duties as required
