Job Requirements
- Must successfully complete and maintain LA County Fire Card certification at hire or within first 30 days
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year food service experience preferred
- ability to work in fast paced multi tasking environment
- ability to adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- ability to perform physical tasks and maintain cleanliness
- good communication skills
- flexibility to work different assignments and shifts

- self-starter with clean as you go mentality
- experience in patient food service and diets is a plus
- high school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- checks supplies needed for tray line
- reviews daily assignment area
- maintains and cares for equipment and supplies with documentation
- performs other related duties as assigned
- keeps record of cleaned areas
- maintains cleanliness of kitchen and cafeteria by emptying trash
- prepares, dishes and serves foods for cafeteria and catering
- participates in cross-training activities
- cleans and stores dishes and equipment
- operates dishwashing, slicer, blender and other mechanical equipment
- works at different assignments during the day
- transports and stores supplies and stock
- cleans kitchen areas and utensils
- answers telephone in diet office
- acts as cashier in retail areas with training
- sets up and breaks down food areas in retail settings
- performs other tasks assigned by retail manager
