Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Set up, prepare, replenish, and distribute food products and beverages in designated areas to meet customer demand
  • perform semi-skilled food preparation including grilling, frying, and using pizza ovens
  • assemble and prepare food and beverages supporting service and menu production in adherence to standards
  • assist cooks with preparation tasks such as washing and cutting vegetables, slicing luncheon meats and cheeses, and replenishing supplies
  • maintain clean and organized work areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
  • serve, plate, and package food using portion control techniques ensuring appealing presentation
  • interact enthusiastically with customers to provide positive service experiences
  • follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • transport and deliver prepared food to multiple campus locations
  • perform cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and dining areas including pots, pans, utensils, ovens, grills, and work tables
  • perform dishwashing and maintenance duties as assigned
  • engage in professional development and participate in activities advancing the goals of the ottoy Initiative
