Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant, cafeteria experience is a plus
- ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred
- Ability to work varied shifts and adapt to changing schedules
Job Qualifications

- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Strong understanding of food safety and handling regulations
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills
- Prior experience in food service or correctional facility environment preferred
- ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and/or team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts
- Prepare, assist or instruct inmate labor and/or team members in the preparation of a variety of food items in accordance with departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions
- Follow assigned facility housekeeping and safety practices in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with food handling regulations and safety standards
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and mentor new team members and inmate labor
- Perform other duties as determined by the needs of the business
