Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of site personnel general orientation
- successful completion of department specific orientation
- must meet requirements of ADA standards
- flexibility in availability including potential shifts from 6:30am-2:30pm, 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:30pm-7:30pm, or 4:00pm-8:00pm
- willingness to work every other weekend
- ability to comply with department safety and sanitation rules and guidelines
- physical ability to perform routine cleaning and food handling tasks

Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with regulatory or accrediting agency standards such as JCAHO, DOH, OSHA, and SBHCS compliance program
- maintain established policies and procedures, standards and practices in food preparation to achieve departmental objectives in high quality, nutritional meals
- ensure confidential treatment of all communications and records of management and patients
- stock cafeteria with appropriate foods including hot and cold foods, baked goods, beverages, desserts, and condiments
- set up menu boards reflecting current menu
- know menu items, portion sizes and direct customers to current prices
- operate register and assist customers efficiently while addressing their concerns
- utilize appropriate infection control practices such as hand washing and food handling
- follow proper precautions with hazardous materials and waste disposal
- wipe off counters and tables, arrange and replenish items
- keep station neat, clean, and fully stocked at all times
- keep dining room tables clean and straightened with salt and paper shakers on each table
- clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
- follow all department safety and sanitation rules including state and HACCP guidelines
- collect, process, and dispose of trash, cans, bottles, and recyclables properly
- perform general routine cleaning duties and other non-routine duties as directed
