Job Requirements

- Completion of annual safety physical and food in-service
Job Qualifications
- Cooking experience
- Successfully completes mandatory education as assigned
Job Duties
- Prepare and deliver quality food for patients, visitors and staff following HACCP standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation and cleaning of kitchen equipment including reach-in refrigerator, juice machine, assembly line, workstations, blender, and coffee machine
- Maintain proper portions and use correct serving utensils for all tray line items
- Monitor temperature ranges for all items and follow procedures when items fall outside acceptable ranges
- Stock assembly line with needed items from production areas and walk-in cold storage
- Store food correctly before and after meals following first in first out procedures
- Prepare garnishes and portion desserts, soups, and cereals for the assembly line
- Pre-prep desserts for the following day
- Identify patients using hospital wristbands to correctly deliver and pick up trays from patient rooms
- Complete annual safety physical and food in-service training
