Job Requirements
- able to read and write standard English
- ability to perform basic arithmetic
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- must have knowledge of basic culinary techniques and procedures inclusive of basic recipes and equipment use
- ability to work in a standing, kneeling, or squatting position for extended periods
- ability to bend, stretch, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively
- ability to work in various environments including hot, cold, and/or wet areas
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds, push or pull carts or equipment weighing up to 350 pounds
- ability to adhere to uniform or dress code standards
- ability to work in a non-smoking environment
- ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines for cleaning and maintenance tasks
- must maintain good personal hygiene and a clean, professional appearance
- ability to adjust to fluctuating workload demands and prioritize tasks effectively
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and other staff members in a respectful and cooperative manner

Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to hospital dietary guidelines
- assemble meal trays for patients, staff, and visitors
- deliver meals to designated locations promptly

- follow infection control and safety protocols
- operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
