Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • pass fingerprint criminal background check
  • pass pre-employment drug screen
  • registry checks including Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System, Nurse Aide, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct lists
  • males 18-25 must be registered with Selective Service
  • willingness to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to work extended or unusual hours
  • ability to lift 25 pounds
  • ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • ability to work in hot or cold conditions
  • ability to speak and read English
  • able to follow instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
  • paid or unpaid experience in food service work
  • some work experience
  • knowledge of food preparation methods and sanitation regulations
  • skill in operation and sanitizing food service equipment
  • ability to prepare and serve food
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • ability to maintain accurate records

Job Duties

  • Attend work on a regular basis
  • complete required training
  • assist in preparation and portioning of special diets
  • prepare scheduled snacks and maintain supply
  • participate in food distribution following safety policies
  • assist in serving food
  • follow proper food handling according to guidelines
