Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift, bend, push, kneel, walk and perform other physical demands of the role
- Willingness to work in a correctional facility environment
- Ability to follow food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
- Clean as you go, maintain a neat and food safe workstation, pull trash, sweep, mop, and perform other duties assigned within the facility
- Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department policies and procedures
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare and serve food according to recipes
- Abide by all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, food handling and storage
- Maintain a clean work area and environment, including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment
- Perform routine kitchen tasks in a fast-paced environment maintaining organization and cleanliness
- Keep up with garbage collection and maintain clean kitchen floors
- Lift, bend, push, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
