The Delta Breeze Event Center located on Travis Air Force Base, California, represents a key venue for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities designed to support the Air Force and Space Force community. Located within one of the premier military installations, the Center offers a comprehensive range of services that enhance the quality of life for service members, their families, and civilian personnel. Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship, National or owed allegiance to the U.S.
- Ability to complete background investigation with favorable results
- Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted
- Occasionally lift or move objects weighing over 20 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, and bend for long periods
- No education substitution for experience is allowed
- Must register for Selective Service if male born after December 31, 1959
- Direct deposit is required
- Employment verification (E-Verify) must be completed
- Pre-employment requirements must be met prior to entrance on duty
- Must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements
- Must be committed to upholding the rule of law and U.S. Constitution
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand written material and follow simple oral instructions
- Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines
- Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally over 20 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods of time
- Experience may include paid or unpaid work such as volunteer service
- U.S. citizenship or nationality
- Ability to complete background investigation successfully
- No education substitution for required experience
Job Duties
- Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, tablecloths/table skirts, condiments, and cold menu items on tables and/or serving/buffet line
- Removes glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, tablecloths, and table skirts from tables
- Operates, breaks down and cleans all electrical equipment for food preparation
- Cleans kitchen equipment and cookware
- Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses and silverware, chaffing dishes, and cookware in dishwashing area
- Loads and operates dishwashers
- Stores clean dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils and cookware
- Washes tables and counters, vacuums, and shampoos carpets
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and cleans and sanitizes trashcans
- Sorts, washes, peels and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables
