Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent or food prep experience
  • Food preparation vocational training preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
  • Ability to read and write simple sentences
  • Ability to carry out verbal instructions
  • Requires full range of body motion
  • Requires prolonged standing
  • Frequent bending, stooping, stretching and manual dexterity
  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to push carts on carpeting and ride on elevators
  • May require lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work with others in a stressful work environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and mix ingredients for cold dishes and beverages
  • Make toast, prepare short order foods on grill and fried foods
  • Assemble food for patients and serve employees, visitors, and students
  • Maintain cleanliness of food preparation and serving areas
  • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Assist in inventory management and restocking
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service
