Job Requirements
- Ability to read English and follow instructions
- at least one year previous food service or customer service experience
- high school degree or equivalent preferred
- food safety manager or Serv-Safe certification highly desirable
- ability to perform moderately heavy lifting of 20-40 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, and perform physical movements for prolonged periods
- effective communication skills including speech, sight, and hearing

Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts
- prepare foods including beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
- operate food service equipment including slicers, mixers, vertical cutters, choppers, Robot Coupe, blender, dish machine, and other related equipment
- transport food or supplies to designated areas and transport carts/trucks as required
- pass meal trays to patients following proper procedures
- assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment as necessary
- ensure proper temperatures of food in steam tables, refrigerators, and cold tables
- read orders and serve proper portions to patients
- remove, cover, wrap, label, date, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments per policy
- clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures
- sweep and mop floors as needed
- clean soiled dishes and sort refuse
- load soiled dishes onto conveyor, racks, and carts
- set up and operate dish machine for cleaning dishes, trays, silverware, mugs, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment
- inspect cleaned items for quality
- maintain sufficient stock and supplies
- unload incoming supplies and equipment
- stock supplies and equipment according to prescribed procedures
- perform other assigned duties
