Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation or service preferred
  • ability to follow established policies and procedures
  • effective communication skills in English
  • basic math skills
  • willingness to work rotating weekend shifts
  • ability to adhere to HACCP and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
  • ability to adapt to the needs of residents, staff, and visitors
  • Serv-Safe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items as directed by Cook or Assistant Director of Food Services
  • complete necessary paperwork, forms, reports, and daily temperature logs as mandated
  • maintain cleanliness in work areas by adhering to cleaning schedules and proper equipment storage
  • follow all HACCP procedures including proper hand washing and safe food handling
  • assist with departmental projects as assigned
  • ensure daily compliance with dietary procedures and established policies
  • monitor critical control points as part of daily food service routines
