Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Physical capability for lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing extended periods
- Willingness to work in a correctional facility environment
- Ability to follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications

- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling regulations
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
- Clean and maintain a neat and food safe workstation including refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment
- Perform cleaning tasks such as pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping as assigned
- Serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies and procedures
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food according to recipes and client nutritional requirements
- Abide by all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Work in a fast-paced environment performing routine kitchen tasks while maintaining organization and cleanliness
- Perform physical activities including lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
