Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members in kitchen during food prep and food service shifts
- Prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and team members in the preparation of quality foods according to menu, recipes, and work instructions
- Ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- Serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food according to recipes
- Follow all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Train other food service workers
