Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • 1 year relevant work experience within a commercial food service environment
  • Must have commercial cooking experience
  • Must have ServSafe Food Handler Certification
  • Must obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure

Job Duties

  • Operate kitchen utensils to measure, mix, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season, and knead foodstuffs
  • Assist in preparation and proper storage of hot and cold foods
  • Inspect workstations for service compliance
  • Clean and sanitize utensils, workstations, and equipment
  • Set up and break down food service stations
  • Provide stocking duties in the service area
  • Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables
  • Brew coffee and tea
  • Restock beverage areas
  • Work on tray lines distributing food
  • Interact with customers in dining and retail areas
  • Assist customers with opening containers and cutting food
  • Wash dishes by hand or machine
  • Clean floors, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
  • Remove trash to designated areas
  • Transfer supplies within storage and work areas
  • Attend allergy and foodborne illness training
  • Comply with safety and risk management policies
  • Report accidents and injuries promptly
  • Participate in safety meetings and training
  • Comply with HACCP policies
  • Maintain security clearance and Drug Free Workplace compliance
  • Adhere to Operations Security and Property Control plans
  • Follow safety and health programs and regulations
  • Maintain Accident Prevention Plan
