Job Duties
- attend department meetings, in-services, and training sessions as assigned
- anticipate and respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner
- maintain the cleanliness of work areas and department equipment
- demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors
- follow all HACCP food safety standards and hospital protocols
- communicate concerns, shortages, or discrepancies to supervisors promptly
- support department goals related to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- work in various roles, including the tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen stations
- set up and stock food stations for meal service
- assemble and deliver patient trays
- clean and sanitize equipment, stations, and floors after each meal period
- operate dish machines, trash compactors, and perform general cleaning tasks
- prepare supplemental food items for patient tray service
- participate in sanitation and cleaning projects as assigned by the manager
- assist with the training and cross-training of new and existing employees
