Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with food service work
- Willingness to work flexible hours including various day shifts and every other weekend
- Ability to adhere to food safety and infection control protocols
- Must meet ADA standards
- Completion of general and department-specific orientations required

- Knowledge of ADA standards
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Experience in food service or cafeteria operations is desirable but not required
- Good customer service skills

Job Duties
- Perform routine tasks in cafeteria, kitchen, tray line, dish and pot washing areas
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO, DOH, OSHA, and SBHCS
- Maintain food preparation procedures to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals
- Stock cafeteria with appropriate food items including hot and cold foods, baked goods, beverages, desserts, and condiments
- Set up menu boards and inform customers of current menu, portion sizes, and prices
- Operate cash register and assist customers promptly while communicating concerns to management
- Follow infection control practices including proper hand washing and food handling
- Clean and sanitize work areas and dining tables, replenish items, and adhere to safety and sanitation rules including state and HACCP guidelines
