Job Requirements

  • Completion of site personnel general orientation
  • completion of department-specific orientation
  • ability to meet ADA standards
  • flexibility to work varied shifts Sunday through Saturday including early mornings and late afternoons
  • availability to work every other weekend
  • strong adherence to safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
  • ability to perform routine cleaning and food service tasks
  • effective communication skills for engaging with customers and team members

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory or accrediting agency standards
  • maintain established policies and procedures, standards and practices in food preparation
  • ensure confidential treatment of communications and records
  • stock the cafeteria with appropriate foods including hot and cold items, baked goods, beverages, desserts and condiments
  • set up menu boards and reflect current menu
  • know menu, portion sizes and direct customers to current prices
  • operate register and facilitate customer service efficiently
  • utilize appropriate infection control practices such as hand washing and food handling
  • adhere to proper precautions with hazardous materials and waste disposal
  • wipe off counters and tables, arrange and replenish items
  • keep station neat, clean and fully stocked
  • keep dining room tables straightened and clean with salt and paper shakers
  • clean and sanitize work area and equipment
  • follow department safety and sanitation rules including state and HACCP
  • collect, process and properly dispose of trash, recyclables and other waste
  • perform general routine cleaning duties and non-routine duties as directed
