Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read menu items and communicate in English
  • ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • physical capacity to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, finger, see, talk and hear as required
  • ability to push food carts and trucks
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
  • ability to work scheduled shifts including every other weekend
  • willingness to participate in departmental meetings and training

Job Duties

  • Attend department meetings and monthly in-services
  • anticipate and meet customer needs, taking appropriate steps to resolve issues
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas and sanitation of equipment
  • demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude
  • adhere to all HACCP standards
  • alert supervisor to concerns, discrepancies, or product shortages
  • actively support department goals for operations and customer satisfaction
  • work in tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen positions
  • set up and stock food stations for meal service
  • assemble and deliver patient trays
  • clean stations, equipment, and floors after meals
  • operate dish machine, trash compactor, and mop floors
  • prepare additional food items for patient tray line
  • regularly perform sanitation projects
  • assist with training and cross-training employees
