  • prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
  • clean as you go, maintain a neat and food-safe workstation, pull trash, sweep, mop, and perform other assigned duties within the facility
  • serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies and procedures
  • utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare and serve food according to recipes and portion sizes to meet clients' nutritional needs
  • abide by all food safety regulations related to sanitation, food handling and storage
  • maintain a clean work environment including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, cooking and serving equipment
  • function efficiently in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and clean
  • manage garbage collection and keep kitchen floors free from excess food and trash
  • perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • perform other related duties as assigned
