Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food service experience, especially in healthcare, is a plus
  • knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
  • must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • assemble and deliver patient meal trays according to prescribed diets
  • prepare and portion food items following standardized recipes and safety protocols
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, equipment, and utensils
  • stock supplies and monitor inventory levels
  • assist in dishwashing and waste disposal processes
  • follow infection control procedures and food safety regulations
  • interact courteously with patients, staff, and visitors
  • document food temperatures and cleaning logs as required
  • support special dietary needs and requests under supervision of dietary staff
