Job Requirements
- high school graduate or equivalent required
- current City of Norfolk food handling training required at time of hire
- ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- must pass criminal background check and child protective services registry search
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- willingness to work around kitchen equipment heat and cold temperatures
Job Qualifications

- prior food service experience preferred
Job Duties
- maintains a courteous professional relationship with all organizational staff patients families and guests
- sets up and dismantle assigned workstation such as hot food cold food salad bar and coffee station to guarantee smooth operations
- stocks and dismantles condiment areas replenishes paper and china supplies fills beverage machines and brews coffee
- sets up operates cleans and dismantles dish machine
- maintains merchandising in service areas and replenishes vending machines
- stores food in designated areas following wrapping dating food safety storage and rotation procedures
- performs continuous cleanup of work areas equipment and utensils
