Job Requirements

  • No specific length of training or experience required
  • Must demonstrate knowledge, skills, and ability via resume
  • Ability to safely handle and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly and more than 40 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, push, and pull frequently
  • Qualifications must meet OPM Federal Wage System standards
  • Full year of work considered as 35-40 hours per week
  • Part-time experience credited proportionally
  • Education substitution is not allowed
  • Must meet all qualifications by closing date 12/09/2025

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food to patients and staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and service areas
  • Handle and store food supplies safely according to established guidelines
  • Operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment properly
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with nutritionists and other staff to meet dietary requirements
