Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • must be able to read menu items in English except pot-washer position
  • must be able to communicate in English except pot-washer position
  • must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • work requires ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies

Job Duties

  • attends department meetings, monthly in-services, and training classes as assigned
  • anticipates and meets customer needs, taking appropriate steps to rectify issues
  • maintains cleanliness of work areas and sanitation of department equipment
  • demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude
  • adheres to all HACCP standards
  • alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, or product shortages
  • actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction
  • works in various cafeteria and kitchen positions, setting up and stocking food stations for meal service
  • assembles meals and serves food and beverages to retail customers
  • cleans stations, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal
  • operates dish machines, trash compactors, and mops floors as required
  • prepares additional food items for cafeteria operations
  • regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by the manager
  • assists with training of new employees as well as cross-training of fellow employees
