Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Relevant experience in food service or customer service preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to organize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to operate computers and related technology
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Job Duties
- Operate cash register and handle monetary transactions
- Prepare food per instructions and assist with food prep work
- Maintain a clean and sanitary cafeteria, adhering to State of Illinois Department of Public Health standards and regulations
- Stock food items after deliveries
- Run daily reports and balance cash drawer to register tape on a daily basis
- Maintain positive customer service
- Maintain required training, licensure and/or certifications
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and adhere to applicable privacy laws
- Demonstrate sensitivity, understanding and respect of diverse populations within the workplace
- Provide backup and/or support for co-workers during times when the division is short-staffed or experiencing increased volume of work
- Adhere to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality
