Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and food service shifts
- prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and team members in quality food preparation according to menus, recipes, and work instructions
- ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- serve food according to planned meal schedules and department policies
- utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food following recipes and nutritional guidelines
- follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, handling, and storage
- train other food service workers
- maintain a clean work environment including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, cooking and serving equipment
- follow facility uniform policy
- manage garbage collection and kitchen floor cleanliness
- promote a healthy and safe work environment
- meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- perform other related duties as assigned
