Job Description

The 6th Force Support Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their Food and Beverage Facilities team as part of a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position. Job Requirements

  • Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to continuously stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time
  • Must complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Must provide REAL ID or authorized identity documents for installation access
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, National or owe allegiance to the U.S.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Must be willing to work an intermittent schedule with no guaranteed hours
  • Direct deposit is required

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to follow simple oral instructions
  • Able to use hand tools for cleaning
  • Able to operate simple machines
  • Experience in food preparation or food service environments preferred
  • Able to stand and walk continuously for long periods
  • Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds

Job Duties

  • Perform routine manual duties in food preparation or food service areas
  • Set up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and warm/cold menu items on a serving line
  • Remove dishes and trays from tables
  • Operate, break down and clean all electrical equipment for food preparation
  • Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators
  • Separate food waste and trash from dishes, glasses and silverware in dishwashing area
  • Load and operate dishwashers and store clean dishes, glasses and silverware
  • Wash tables and counters
  • vacuum and shampoo carpets
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors
  • clean windows, wash walls and sanitize trashcans
  • Sort, wash, peel and cut fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Prepare orders ready for serving
