  • High school diploma or GED equivalent or food prep experience
  • food preparation vocational training preferred
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
  • ability to read and write simple sentences
  • ability to carry out verbal instructions
  • ability to work with others in a stressful work environment
  • requires full range of body motion
  • requires prolonged standing
  • frequent bending, stooping, stretching and manual dexterity
  • eye-hand coordination
  • pushing carts on carpeting
  • riding on elevators

Job Duties

  • Prepare and mix ingredients for cold dishes and beverages
  • make toast, prepare short order foods on grill and fried foods
  • assemble food for patients and deliver tray to bed side
  • serve employees, visitors, and students
  • maintain cleanliness of work area
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • assist with inventory and stock supplies
