Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (except pot-washer position)
  • Ability to read menu items in English (except pot-washer position)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Physical ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts including every other weekend
  • Availability to work onsite at 1153 Centre Street
  • Commitment to follow HACCP and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to adhere to I C.A.R.E. standards
  • Ability to read and communicate in English (except pot-washer position)
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in food service or similar fast-paced environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
  • Strong positive attitude and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Attend department meetings, monthly in-services, training classes, Anticipate and meet customer needs, take appropriate steps to rectify issues, Maintain cleanliness of work areas, Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment, Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude, Adhere to all HACCP standards, Alert supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, product shortages, Actively support and uphold department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction, Work in various tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen positions, Set up and stock food station for meal service, Assemble patient trays, serve food and beverage to retail customers, and/or deliver or retrieve trays from patient rooms, Clean station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal, Operate dish machine, trash compactor, mopping floors, Prepare additional food items for patient tray line and cafeteria operations, Regularly work on sanitation projects assigned by manager, Assist with training of new employees and cross-training of fellow employees
