- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of quality foods according to menus and recipes
- Ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- Serve food during scheduled meal times following department policies
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and serve food
- Follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, handling, and storage
- Train other food service workers
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas including refrigerators, cooking, and serving equipment
- Enforce facility uniform policies
- Manage garbage collection and keep kitchen floors clean
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Review portions and utensils for service appropriateness
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
