Job Requirements
- ability to read English and follow oral or written instructions
- at least one year previous food service or customer service experience
- high school degree or equivalent preferred
- Food Safety Manager or Serv-Safe certification highly desirable
- ability to perform moderately heavy lifting (20-40 lbs)
- ability to stand, walk, and perform constant physical movements routinely
- effective speech, sight, and hearing to communicate effectively

Job Duties
- assist in the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts
- prepare foods to include beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
- operate food service equipment including slicers, mixers, vertical cutters, choppers, Robot Coupe, blender, dish machine, and other equipment
- transport food or supplies to areas and transport carts/trucks to designated areas
- pass meal trays to patients following proper procedures
- assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment
- ensure proper temperature of food in steam tables, refrigerators, and cold tables
- read orders and serve proper portions
- remove, cover, wrap, label, date, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments per policy
- clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures
- sweep and mop floors
- clean soiled dishes and sort refuse
- set up and operate dish machine
- inspect cleaned items for quality
- maintain sufficient stock and supplies
- unload incoming supplies
- stock supplies and equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
