Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
- ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- ability to use cleaning machinery and gardening tools
- willingness to work flexible schedules including split shifts
- ability to work in various weather conditions
- valid work authorization

Job Duties
- Participates in preparation and serving of school lunches and menu items
- maintains performance standards in food preparation, service, and clean-up
- participates in cleaning, storing, receiving, and stocking cafeteria equipment and supplies
- performs custodial duties including cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and cafeterias
- operates cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, floor polishers, and blowers
- sweeps, scrubs, disinfects, mops, waxes, and polishes floors
- cleans and vacuums carpets
- dusts and polishes furniture
- cleans walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, chalkboards, and equipment
- cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, telephones, trash cans, restrooms, and kitchens
- dusts light fixtures, furnaces, ledges, empties trash and pencil sharpeners, stocks towel and soap dispensers
- replaces lights and batteries, sets clocks, resets fire alarms and bell systems
- performs grounds maintenance including picking up debris, raking, sweeping, watering, checking sprinklers, spraying pesticides, and graffiti removal
- sets up and moves furniture and equipment as needed
- responds to emergency cleanups and makes minor repairs
- locks and unlocks doors and gates for building security
- cares for and displays flags
- organizes storage areas, orders supplies, and maintains inventory
- performs other related duties as assigned
