Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn and follow established policies and procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to provide customer service
- Ability to obtain and maintain food handling certification
- Ability to operate POS cash register when applicable
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
Job Qualifications

- Food handling certification or ability to obtain certification
- Previous experience in food service or related environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and customers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety practices
- Ability to follow established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Job Duties
- Sets up work station and prepares assigned foods following portion control and quality standards
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes, flatware, trays, cups, glasses, cooking utensils, equipment and kitchen areas
- Maintains par levels of food and supplies, orders and restocks items, rotates food stocks and checks expiration dates
- Checks and records food and equipment temperatures, reports discrepancies to supervisor
- Delivers meals, nourishments, late trays and tube feedings to patient units and assists in catering or special event service
- Handles cash transactions at registers or cafe when applicable
- Provides excellent customer service in accordance with hospital policies and standards
