Job Duties
- Attends department meetings, monthly in-services, and training classes as assigned
- anticipates and meets customer needs and takes appropriate steps to rectify issues
- maintains cleanliness of work areas
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment
- demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude
- adheres to all HACCP standards
- alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, or product shortages
- actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction
- works in various tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen positions
- sets up and stocks food station for meal service
- assembles patient trays, serves food and beverage to retail customers, and delivers or retrieves trays from patient rooms
- cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal
- operates dish machine, trash compactor, mops floors
- prepares additional food items for patient tray line and cafeteria operations
- regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager
- assists with training of new employees as well as cross-training of fellow employees
