ability to read menu items in English except pot-washer position
ability to communicate in English except pot-washer position
ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies

Job Duties

Attends department meetings, monthly in-services, and training classes as assigned
anticipates and meets customer needs and takes appropriate steps to rectify issues
maintains cleanliness of work areas
maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment
demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude
adheres to all HACCP standards
alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, or product shortages
actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction
works in various tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen positions
sets up and stocks food station for meal service
assembles patient trays, serves food and beverage to retail customers, and delivers or retrieves trays from patient rooms
cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal
operates dish machine, trash compactor, mops floors
prepares additional food items for patient tray line and cafeteria operations
regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager
assists with training of new employees as well as cross-training of fellow employees
