Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Physical capability for lifting, bending, walking, and standing
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a correctional facility environment

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and/or team members in the kitchen during food prep and service shifts
- Prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and/or team members in the preparation of quality foods according to menu, recipes, and instructions
- Ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- Serve food during planned meal schedules following policies and procedures
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food as per recipes and nutritional needs
- Follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, handling, and storage
- Train other food service workers
- Maintain a clean work environment including cleaning refrigerators, cooking equipment, and floors
- Follow facility uniform policy
- Manage garbage collection and kitchen cleanliness
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
