Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service experience, especially in healthcare, is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assemble and deliver patient meal trays according to prescribed diets
  • Prepare and portion food items following standardized recipes and safety protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Stock supplies and monitor inventory levels
  • Assist in dishwashing and waste disposal processes
  • Follow infection control procedures and food safety regulations
  • Interact courteously with patients, staff, and visitors
  • Document food temperatures and cleaning logs as required
  • Support special dietary needs and requests under supervision of dietary staff
