Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks
- willingness to work in a corrections facility environment

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food preparation and service shifts
- prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and team members in the preparation of quality foods according to planned menu, recipes, and work instructions
- ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies and procedures
- utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food according to recipes
- follow all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, food handling, and storage
- train other food service workers
- maintain a clean work environment including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment
- enforce facility uniform policy
- manage garbage collection and kitchen floor cleanliness
- ensure kitchen readiness including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- review proper portions and utensils for service
- promote a healthy and safe work environment
- perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- perform other related duties as assigned
