Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
- Ability to work flexible PRN (part-time as needed) shifts
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service
- Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or dishwashing is a plus
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of inventory control and product rotation
- Customer service oriented approach
Job Duties
- Handling, preparing and serving food in accordance with written menu and sanitation regulations
- Preparing cafeteria food service and delivering food to customers
- Restocking cafeteria supplies
- Maintaining sanitation of work areas, dishes and equipment
- Maintaining inventory control, product rotation, labeling and safe food handling practices
- Working efficiently in various nutrition roles including food runner, tray line, food prep, dishwasher and store room
- Providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively in a team environment
