Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience
  • Ability to work flexible PRN (part-time as needed) shifts
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service
  • Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or dishwashing is a plus
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and product rotation
  • Customer service oriented approach

Job Duties

  • Handling, preparing and serving food in accordance with written menu and sanitation regulations
  • Preparing cafeteria food service and delivering food to customers
  • Restocking cafeteria supplies
  • Maintaining sanitation of work areas, dishes and equipment
  • Maintaining inventory control, product rotation, labeling and safe food handling practices
  • Working efficiently in various nutrition roles including food runner, tray line, food prep, dishwasher and store room
  • Providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively in a team environment
