Job Requirements

  • food service experience in a food or hospitality service operation, or institutional food service role
  • an equivalent combination of education in a restaurant, catering, or retail operation and/or sanitation and dishwashing experience
  • current food handler's certificate/card for applicable county/state

  • an equivalent combination of education in a restaurant, catering, or retail operation and/or sanitation and dishwashing experience
  • customer service experience
  • able to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal as well as stressful conditions
  • tray-line or room service experience is a plus
  • basic familiarity with computers preferred
  • current food handler's certificate/card for applicable county/state

Job Duties

  • prepare and assemble patient food trays and carts with attention to detail and according to department standards
  • perform routine cleaning and stocking of pantries and kitchen areas
  • follow established recipes, label and date all prepared and stored food items, and adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • provide excellent service in the cafeteria and during special events
  • engage with guests and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • prepare grilled foods and serve meals according to order specifications
  • work effectively with other staff to deliver quality meal service on time, hot, and in accordance with safety protocols
  • handle multiple tasks and maintain composure in fast-paced or stressful situations
  • ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
  • flexible with working hours and locations based on business needs
