Job Requirements

food service experience in a food or hospitality service operation, or institutional food service role
an equivalent combination of education in a restaurant, catering, or retail operation and/or sanitation and dishwashing experience
current food handler's certificate/card for applicable county/state

customer service experience
able to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal as well as stressful conditions
tray-line or room service experience is a plus
basic familiarity with computers preferred
current food handler's certificate/card for applicable county/state

Job Duties

prepare and assemble patient food trays and carts with attention to detail and according to department standards
perform routine cleaning and stocking of pantries and kitchen areas
follow established recipes, label and date all prepared and stored food items, and adhere to safety and sanitation standards
provide excellent service in the cafeteria and during special events
engage with guests and staff in a friendly and professional manner
prepare grilled foods and serve meals according to order specifications
work effectively with other staff to deliver quality meal service on time, hot, and in accordance with safety protocols
handle multiple tasks and maintain composure in fast-paced or stressful situations
ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
flexible with working hours and locations based on business needs
