Job Requirements

  • Currently dated food handler's permit if required by the state
  • certification from an American National Standards Institute accredited food handler training program or obtained within 30 days of employment
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or high-volume hospital cafeteria setting
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work well in a team
  • basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Handle all cash transactions for food items
  • maintain and set up serving and dining areas
  • ensure a safe and sanitary environment
  • provide exceptional customer service
  • collaborate with culinary and dietary teams to meet patient and guest needs
  • monitor food quality and presentation
  • comply with all health and safety regulations
