Job Requirements

Ability to read English and follow oral or written instructions
at least one year previous food service or customer service experience
willingness to perform moderately heavy lifting of 20-40 lbs
ability to stand, walk, and perform constant physical movements
high school degree or equivalent preferred
Food Safety Manager or Serv-Safe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

Assist in the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts
prepare foods to include beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
operate food service equipment including slicers, mixers, vertical cutters, choppers, Robot Coupe, blenders, dish machines, and other related equipment
transport food or supplies to designated areas, pass meal trays to patients following proper procedures, assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment as required
ensure proper temperature of food in steam tables, refrigerators, and cold tables
read orders and serve proper portions
remove, cover, wrap, label, date, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments per policy
clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures including sweeping and mopping floors
clean soiled dishes, sort refuse into garbage or compost containers, and load soiled dishes onto conveyor racks and carts
set up and operate dish machines for cleaning dishes, trays, silverware, mugs, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment, inspect cleaned items for quality
maintain sufficient stock and supplies, unload incoming supplies and equipment, stock supplies as per procedure
perform other duties as assigned
