Job Requirements
- Ability to read English and follow oral or written instructions
- at least one year previous food service or customer service experience
- willingness to perform moderately heavy lifting of 20-40 lbs
- ability to stand, walk, and perform constant physical movements
- high school degree or equivalent preferred
- Food Safety Manager or Serv-Safe certification highly desirable

Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts
- prepare foods to include beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
- operate food service equipment including slicers, mixers, vertical cutters, choppers, Robot Coupe, blenders, dish machines, and other related equipment
- transport food or supplies to designated areas, pass meal trays to patients following proper procedures, assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment as required
- ensure proper temperature of food in steam tables, refrigerators, and cold tables
- read orders and serve proper portions
- remove, cover, wrap, label, date, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments per policy
- clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures including sweeping and mopping floors
- clean soiled dishes, sort refuse into garbage or compost containers, and load soiled dishes onto conveyor racks and carts
- set up and operate dish machines for cleaning dishes, trays, silverware, mugs, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment, inspect cleaned items for quality
- maintain sufficient stock and supplies, unload incoming supplies and equipment, stock supplies as per procedure
- perform other duties as assigned
