Pine Island School Food Service is the department responsible for providing nutritious and appealing meals to students at Pine Island Middle School and High School. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Dishwashing and assisting in the preparation and serving of menu items
  • cleaning and maintaining sanitation standards
  • ensuring safe food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation according to state and federal food codes
  • monitoring food to meet nutritional and special diet requirements
  • recommending menus to encourage customer satisfaction
  • providing training in cooking principles and customer service
  • responding to food holds and recalls promptly
  • applying management principles for quality food production
  • ensuring excellent quality in food presentation and service
  • performing other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor
