Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food according to standardized recipes and guidelines, ensuring meals are nutritious and meet dietary needs
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- assist with the setup and breakdown of food service stations, including tables, serving lines, and dining areas
- package and distribute meals to individuals and families, ensuring efficient and organized service
- operate kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, and food processors, safely and efficiently
- receive, inspect, and store food supplies, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent spoilage and contamination
- monitor food temperatures to ensure safety and quality
- assist with inventory management and record-keeping, tracking food supplies and meals served
- provide excellent customer service to recipients, addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism
- collaborate with other food service staff, volunteers, and emergency responders to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- perform other duties as assigned
