Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food service experience preferred
- Customer service skills
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
- Current Food Handler's Certificate or Card
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, bending, and squatting for extended periods
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and locations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Job Qualifications
- Food service experience in food or hospitality service operation or institutional food service role
- Equivalent combination of education in restaurant, catering, or retail operation and/or sanitation and dishwashing experience
- Customer service experience
- Able to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal and stressful conditions
- Tray-line or room service experience is a plus
- Basic familiarity with computers preferred
- Current Food Handler's Certificate/Card for applicable County/State
Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble patient food trays and carts according to department standards
- Perform routine cleaning and stocking of pantries and kitchen areas
- Follow established recipes and safety and sanitation standards
- Label and date all prepared and stored food items
- Provide excellent customer service in cafeteria and special events
- Prepare grilled foods and serve meals according to order specifications
- Work effectively with other staff to deliver quality meals on time and in accordance with safety protocols
- Handle multiple tasks and maintain composure in fast-paced situations
- Bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods and be flexible with working hours and locations
