Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Suitable for federal employment, determined by background investigation
- Ability to pass pre-employment urinalysis screening for illegal drugs
- Selective service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Completion of online onboarding process with acceptable identification
- Willingness to serve 1-year probationary period
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 20 pounds and occasional heavy lifting with assistance
- Ability to work multiple tour shifts
- Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to perform food service worker duties dependably
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Experience or training in food service or related work environment preferred

Job Duties
- Clean serving areas by sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, and other food service equipment such as refrigerators, toaster, and coffee machines
- Clean production equipment including steam jacketed kettles and tilt skillets using appropriate and safe sanitation techniques
- Load and operate dishwashers and cart washing station
- Perform necessary preventative maintenance on equipment
- Transport tray carts to wards and deliver trays directly to patients' bedside or assist patients with transport of their meal trays
- Set up serving areas with hot and cold foods, keeping foods appropriately stocked during meal service
- Identify discrepancies between prescribed diet and listed food allergies and food items on tray ticket
- Assemble a variety of items in cold food preparation and nourishment area
- Make cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients
- Perform other duties as assigned
