Job Duties

  • Follow and maintain knowledge of all district policies and procedures
  • follow all state and federal regulations
  • perform assigned duties including working in extreme temperatures, standing for extended periods, lifting up to fifty pounds, and operating commercial food service equipment
  • complete cleaning duties of kitchen, serving areas, and equipment using various chemicals
  • prepare food items and adjust recipes as needed maintaining food quality and nutritional standards
  • prepare and serve food in accordance with health and sanitation standards monitoring food temperatures
  • store unused food and supplies, dispose of leftovers, and handle food properly for storage
  • record amounts of food cooked, leftovers, and money collected, assist with inventory and maintain routine records
  • collect money and maintain accurate records as assigned
  • cooperate in activities to ensure efficient school food service program
  • observe safety rules and report accidents
  • take proper care of equipment and facilities
  • practice desirable health and work habits, maintain acceptable standards of work, conduct, and dress code
  • maintain an attitude of helpfulness toward fellow employees, students, and staff
  • cooperate fully with faculty, students, manager, and other employees
  • participate in inservice training programs
  • perform other duties as assigned
