Job Duties
- Follow and maintain knowledge of all district policies and procedures
- follow all state and federal regulations
- perform assigned duties including working in extreme temperatures, standing for extended periods, lifting up to fifty pounds, and operating commercial food service equipment
- complete cleaning duties of kitchen, serving areas, and equipment using various chemicals
- prepare food items and adjust recipes as needed maintaining food quality and nutritional standards
- prepare and serve food in accordance with health and sanitation standards monitoring food temperatures
- store unused food and supplies, dispose of leftovers, and handle food properly for storage
- record amounts of food cooked, leftovers, and money collected, assist with inventory and maintain routine records
- collect money and maintain accurate records as assigned
- cooperate in activities to ensure efficient school food service program
- observe safety rules and report accidents
- take proper care of equipment and facilities
- practice desirable health and work habits, maintain acceptable standards of work, conduct, and dress code
- maintain an attitude of helpfulness toward fellow employees, students, and staff
- cooperate fully with faculty, students, manager, and other employees
- participate in inservice training programs
- perform other duties as assigned
