Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service cashier preferred
  • Must have math and customer relations skills

Job Duties

  • Greets all customers promptly and courteously
  • Handles all financial matters in a responsible manner
  • Balances the cash drawer on a daily basis and is responsible for maintaining accurate customer transactions
  • Assist in setting up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedure
  • Cleans the cafeteria dining area and customer service area following infection control and HACCP guidelines
  • Informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs
  • Maintains adequate food and nonfood supplies during meal service
  • Communicates all customer related comments and/or complaints to the appropriate supervisor
  • Completes all documentation requirements, temperature logs, cleaning schedule, daily deposits, etc.
  • Understands standard isolation procedures and HACCP guidelines
  • Understands role in hospitals fire, safety and disaster programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested
